Outside of the 6 shorts Donald Duck starred in during WWII, Donald was also America’s propaganda icon, morale builder, and mascot for a number of Air Force Squadrons and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also on over 400 military insignias and patches. Donald was the last soldier to be officially discharged from WWII service (honorably Buck Sergeant) at the 25th Armed Forces Day Parade in Torrance California on May 19th 1984.
